Regional Events—More Connections
The Passaic Chapter, along with the Bergen, Essex, Morris, Hudson and Sussex /Warren Chapters, forms the Northern Region of NJAWBO. Several Regional Events are held throughout the year to bring the members of these Chapters together to network and build relationships.

Designed to provide high-impact networking and partnering opportunities, enlightening programs and top-notch speakers—among the most popular statewide events are NJAWBO’s Annual Conference, Procurement Expo, Salute to Women Business Leaders, Public Policy Day and SBA Women’s History Month Brunch.

Members receive NJAWBO’s newsletter, The Bottom Line, every other month. Get noticed by announcing your good news, writing an article, or placing an ad in The Bottom Line. The Bottom Line is sent to NJAWBO members and all major corporations and legislators in NJ.

Awards: Recognized & Rewarded
The Teal Heart is awarded to members who have gone above and beyond their volunteer duties and have contributed their time and expertise to better the organization. In addition to the Teal Heart Award, each Chapter selects a Business Woman of the Year. From this exclusive group, the State selects one to be its New Jersey Business Woman of the Year. The Passaic County Chapter is very proud to have had two State award winners in 2004—Business Woman of the Year, Lesley Weiner, owner of Heritage Financial Advisors, and Rose & Scroll Winner, Gloria Kolodziej, former mayor of Clifton, NJ.

It’s easy to join NJAWBO’s network of smart, talented, professional members. Simply choose from the options below and choose Passaic Chapter for Chapter Affiliation:

NJAWBO dues are paid annually during the anniversary of the month a member joined. Members fall into the following categories: Active, Associate or Student Member.

Three levels of membership:
 

Active (Voting) Member: Dues $235 + $25 One-time Registration Fee = TOTAL $260

a) A woman engaged in business who is a sole proprietor; general partner in a general partnership or corporate shareholder who exercises the power to make major policy decisions and is actively involved in the overall management of the firm.

b) A woman who financially maintain offices or business facilities and works at these businesses as her major occupation and whose major earned income is derived from that business; these may include commissioned agents, brokers, independent contractors and consultants.

Associate (Non-voting) Member: Dues $335 + $25 One-time Registration Fee = TOTAL $360
An Individual who subscribes to the objectives of the Corporation and does not qualify for Active membership as stated above.
 
Student (Non-voting) Member: Dues $155 + $25 One-time Registration Fee = TOTAL $180
An individual who subscribes to the objectives of the Corporation and is currently attending an undergraduate or post-secondary educational institution on a full-time basis, is not presently a business owner, and has presented to the Membership Committee, evidence of a validated registration form from their institution.
